Scotts 20-Inch Classic Push Reel Lawn Mower #2000-20
The Scott's classic reel mower is light, maneuverable, and economical. The business end of this push reel mower is solid, sharp, and everything a reel mower should be, with five heat-treated, knife-sharp steel blades that can be adjusted for nine grass heights with very easy wheel tabs. With its 10-inch wheels, radial tires, and 20-inch cutting width, this mower should enable you to cross whatever terrain and reach whatever hard-to-access rogue patches of grass you desire. There's no soft cushion on the handle, which is too bad, but otherwise, the Scotts Classic is a durable, well-constructed, simple device.

Scotts 20-Inch Classic Push Reel Lawn Mower #2000-20 Reviews
It took about a half hour to get all unpacked and put together, and when I started mowing my wife decided it looked fun so she mowed the lawn. I looked around about an hour online and this seemed to get the best reviews. Just got it for our new home which has about a quarter acre lawn. Will update if there are any issues. Now it's snowing so I won't have to mow for a few months. I've only used it once, but it cuts and rolls great and is easy to adjust cutting height.
I am extremely happy with this lawn mower. The wide width makes cutting the grass faster. 1) It is also easy to push - it's really not your grandfather's mower, 2) the heighth adjustment makes it more versatile, 3) No gasoline to buy and no fumes to inhale, 4) no winterizing is needed, 5) environment-friendly, 6) the light weight makes me able to carry it into the basement for winter storage, and last but not least, my lawn looks much better cut instead of chewed. Surprisingly I am still able to get close to my many plants and trees.
Felt pretty good about it. As one person said, it was easier to look at the picture on the box and apply logic. In fact, if I'm honest, I felt good. I live in a wooded area, don't have the perfect lawn, but it suits me fine. I love this thing. Best therapy in the world being able to do it yourself. I then went out to mow.
Easy enough to do twice if you need to. No noisy motor or fumes, no worry if you have gas in the tank, perfect for me. Surprisingly it was easier than trying to start my gas mower, no bag to empty and then try to get on again, I do have a smallish grassy area in the front and side of my house, but even with twigs and leaves I encountered little problem. Not bad to put together. Being "assembly challenged" it took awhile, but I got there. I'm a retired female with a total hip replacement.
It was easy.
Very eco-friendly. However, if you have 3/4 acre or more, this might be too strenuous if you are unaccustomed to it. 3) Push and go. 6) Small size is good for storage.
3) Twigs, debris, etc. Little maintenance. Also, if you want a flawless yard or have some inclines, it may not meet expectations. This is because the wheels must touch solid ground to operate the blades.
1) Quiet (but not silent) operation. 5) The handle is not a single solid piece and, therefore, is a bit wobbly. 4) Cheaper than other eco-friendly options like battery powered mowers or corded. will often clog the mower. Pros:.
But, I have to provide an objective, balanced review. 2) It will NOT cut weeds, tall grass, or wet/damp grass (it will somewhat, but not very well). It is necessary to lift the mower and/or manually pull out the excess clippings. 4) The grass clippings can be lodged on the back of the mower and will fall off into your garage (or wherever you store this mower). 5) Easy for small lawns; produces a crisp, clean cut if you go over the area thoroughly. It is, indeed, very good. CONS.
It is likely best suited for a 1/2 acre or less yard with only gentle slopes. It would have been better to have a single solid handle. I give it a high recommendation, but it is not perfect for several reasons:. From reading the reviews, I thought this mower would be the panacea of all mowers. 2) No gas or electricity. If you edge is against a curb, this will be hard to accomplish. Overall, I would likely buy the mower again given the size of my lot. 1) It does not do well against edges of the lawn.
