i had somewhat reviewed this product in my earlier ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AP-16100W 100' White 16 Gauge Oxygen-Free Speaker Wire review. However i do want to say that anyone good with a screwdriver, can cut perfect speaker wires properly with this tool. But good tool and simple to use. However i must stress that the wastage can bum you out as you try to remove the shielding and expose some proper copper wire for your setup.
Their well-made, small convenient design makes these a very useful tool. These are very handy for use with small wires in the 18-22 gage range. They're very sturdy, and I am happy to own them. I've not had a need to use them on wires larger than 12 gage, but I expect they will work well even then. They also work as well as my other larger wire strippers on larger wires up to 12 gage without any trouble.
