Dremel 565 Multi Purpose Cutting Kit 565D Reviews

Beware: It moves around a bit and control can be difficult, not for really fine work. I use this often, can't beat it for the price.

This product is excellent for my portable Dremel Tool. Just install and you're ready to cut into the plaster board with ease.

Worked fine, got my job done. The base screwed onto my older model Dremel just fine. Bought this miniature router base because I needed to route some grooves in a tight space that my big ol' Sears router wouldn't fit into. The whole thing was definitely worth the money. Because the base is plastic, I was able to trim away part of it that interfered with my workpiece. There was a "gotcha", though: The Dremel's bit wasn't precisely centered in the base, so if you're using some kind of template to guide the router, you have to be aware of that and keep it in mind when designing your template.

It's the tool you want that's easy to handle to do that perfect job. My husband used this tool for the first time to help our son put in new lighting for his kitchen. I held the hose for the vacuum cleaner and he went to town making precise cuts with this new "toy". Our son also learned how to use it with precision. It worked like a charm.

I haven't used their router base but honestly I don't see the need unless your trying to bridge a large gap. I've also found it vary useful for odd things like controlled grinding and shaping on the edges of flat stock (sort of like a low tech milling/machining operation). It's like a simplified version of a router base. And like others have said the depth gauge it not that accurate but most use a tool like this buy eye anyway so it's no big loss. The plastic is pretty tough and as long as you don't crank down the adjuster screw your fine. Anything you can fit it over will give you excellent control over it's tendency to flail around or go where IT wants to at times.
