It has a continuously adjustable speed range from 5,000 to 35,000 rpm, which allows the user to effectively work with materials as soft as balsa wood and as hard as ceramics. The flexible shaft that comes with this model is great for working in tight spots many rotary tools can't touch. The kit also comes with an assortment of accessories and a handy carrying case. this is a fantastic tool after i figured out how to use the chuck. i needed it to help sand a table i made and cut a metal railing that had a part sticking out, and it's performance was quick and easy. easy to use and handel.
The only downside is that you're really only buying the dremel, flex-shaft, and case. It's very powerful and there are so many different applications for the flex-shaft adapter (which is the main reason I purchased this kit). This is a great product. I highly recommend it. So an additional accessory assortment is a must. There isn't a very wide variety of tasks you can perform with the included accessories. The price on Amazon.com was great because it was an open box item but this is easily worth about 50% more than the highest price you can buy it for.
Helps with all kinds of household and hobby needs. A very useful tool to have.
I can't say for the rotozip but I can say for the dremel is that is meant for light duty (Both are made by the same company). I would recommend this tool but be sure to let it cool off and don't use it for long periods at one time. When I did use it, I typically used it pretty hard. Mine lasted about 5 years but I rarely used it. As with most bosch tools I have found that if they give you a storage box.
I bought this kit but my storage box was a bit different. In my opinion, rotary tools are very useful. I have both the rotozip and the dremel tool. Use the rotozip for the heavy stuff. I had it running for about 15-20 minutes cutting off wooden dowels when mine died.
it barely holds what comes in the box, don't buy anything else for the tool and expect to store it in storage box enclosed.
The instructions were clear, and the tool worked as described, no complaints here. The Dremel arrived promptly and was easy to use.
