Carpad Carpad Midsize 16-by-7.4 Foot Garage Floor Protector, Gold Reviews

The CarPad works fine when new but it didn't last as long as I had hoped. It would be nicer if they used a better quality vinyl. provides much value. The vinyl dries out and cracks after about 2 or 3 years and then it no longer.

I'm very glad I purchased it because it took care of my problem. It's slippery if it's wet when you get out of the car, but not nearly as bad as having the whole floor wet I no longer have a big wet, slippery spot in front of my steps. It's also much easier to sweep it off when needed without the hose there. The only problem I had was my own fault because I didn't let the hose warm up before installing it and it was still a little curly from being wound up, but it flattened out when we had a warm spell. When I got the carpad I installed it right away. I bought the carpad because I have a spot by my steps in the garage where the water was settling when snow and slush melted off my car.

I live in Minnesota, so there's alot of it. The carpad keeps the water on it and not on the garage floor. I didn't put the hose piece on the end by the garage door because the drainage is good there and it's easier to drive over without it.

Small punctures and cuts can are readily repairable with duct tape. My experience with Carpads is entirely favorable. I have also used competing products, and they did not perform as well as Carpads. I have used three Carpads and am now ordering another for a family member. I live in Wyoming where winters last 7 to 8 months, and cars often accumulate large quantities of snow and chemical slush that then melts onto the garage floor. With reasonable car, my Carpads last at least five seasons. The Carpads reliably contain this runoff.

By far the most disappointing thing I have ever bought from Amazon.com. Do not waste your money on this.please. This cheap piece of viny has a folded edge where you are supposed to insert pieces of supplied garden hose to make the border. Vinyl itself is very soft and light and flaps around even when you place it on the ground.

It was shaping up to be a weekend long project costing at least $50 with uncertain results.I ended up just ordering a 16x7.5 Carpad from Amazon. The borders are slightly raised; you just feel a little bump as you park your car - but they are secure enough to hold gallons of water from melting snow.

Sure there are some nice floor materials - but the prices start at $2 per foot with a typical width of only 3 feet. After spending some time there I just couldn't find any water-proof heavy grade materal that I can get in one piece to cover the garage floor.

I was reluctant to spend this much money on a piece of plastic tarp and 4 garden hoses after reading one of the reviews on Amazon. So I went to Home Depot to check out other options.

I am quite happy with my purchase so far. The tarp is heavy duty indeed - unless you use studded snow tires it should last for years.

And I would have to make sure it is properly installed with some kind of water barrier on the sides - otherwise water would just end up in my basement.
